Course Overview

This course is designed for Care and Support staff across various settings, including Housing and Housing Support Teams who provide direct care and support.


It offers a comprehensive introduction to the Mental Capacity Act, equipping learners with the knowledge to support individuals in making informed decisions about their own lives.


The course encourages staff to rethink their approach to involving individuals in decision-making, while ensuring the people they support are not deprived of there liberties.


This course aligns with current occupational standards, qualification frameworks, and the following key documents:


  • The Mental Capacity Act 2005
  • The Care Act 2014
