This course is designed for Care and Support staff across various settings, including Housing and Housing Support Teams providing direct care and support.


It introduces learners to national and local infection prevention and control policies, with a particular focus on the changes brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic and how these affect daily practices.


The course highlights real-world scenarios encountered in high-risk environments, such as residential care homes, hospitals, and community settings, providing practical guidance on managing infection risks.


This course aligns with current occupational standards, qualification frameworks, and key guidance documents, including:

AIMS

Training for infection control and prevention is crucial for care workers to ensure the safety and well-being of both themselves and the individuals they care for.
